2008/2009 Premiership

It's not hard to predict that the Big Four will once again dominate the League, the only question is which side has the depth and chemistry to go all the way. Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United remains mostly unchanged, choosing to stick with the proven formula that earned them Double glory last season. “Big Phil” Scolari takes the helm at Stamford Bridge, which together with the arrival of talented playmaker Deco should give Chelsea a very competitive dynamic. Liverpool have been busy over the summer, signing a wealth of new talent – most notably Robbie Keane, who joins Torres up front to create one of the most menacing strike duos in the competition. Wenger’s Arsenal still looks youthful on the surface, but with a year’s worth of added maturity the Gunners can definitely go toe-to-toe with the best of them. The dark horse of the season must be Tottenham – Spurs have signed a host of new players and despite failing to fire on all cylinders last season, this could be their time to step it up a level.
